HANSON are convinced THE JONAS BROTHERS won't go off the rails like troubled star BRITNEY SPEARS - because the boy band write their own songs.
Pop stars Hanson continued their careers past their Mmmbop heyday by starting up their own label, 3CG Records, and writing and producing their own albums.
And the sibling trio are convinced the Jonas Brothers have enough musical talent to follow a similar career path.
Taylor Hanson says, "One clear thing the Jonas Brothers actually have going for them is they have written their own songs.
"I think what you see a lot of times, unfortunately people like Britney Spears or people that seem to go off the rails when they started out, it wasn't really their deal...
"(I) just really wish them a lot of luck. I hope they can translate what they've done into a career - a long career - in a similar way that we've been able to for many years. It's a great privilege to be able to have this be your career."

The Hanson baby boom continues!
Taylor, the middle brother of the rock trio Hanson, and his wife Natalie are expecting their fourth child this winter, they tell PEOPLE exclusively.
“Each of our kids has made life richer and more exciting,” gushed Taylor, 25, and Natalie, 24. “We can’t wait for this guy to join the party.”
Their little one will join a group of six cousins, including two recent additions: Zac and Kate Hanson welcomed their first child, Shepherd, in May, and Isaac and Nikki Hanson welcomed their second child, Monroe, in July. (Isaac’s son Everett and Taylor’s other kids – Ezra, Penelope and River – round out the bunch.)
This fall, the brothers will have their hands full as they set out on their recently-extended Walk Around the World Tour – with babies in tow. As Zac recently told PEOPLE: “We may have to think about getting a second bus!”

On July 1, Isaac Hanson and his wife Nikki celebrated the arrival of their second son, James Monroe Hanson, in the family's hometown of Tulsa.
Baby Monroe weighed in at 8 lbs., 11 oz., and joins older brother Clark Everett Hanson, 1. Both boys go by their middle names.
"The addition of Monroe to our family is incredible and exciting," Isaac, 27, the eldest of the rock trio Hanson, told PEOPLE. "With Monroe and Everett being so close in age, it will be great to watch them grow up together."
"Two little boys is going to be twice the fun," he adds.
Isaac's youngest brother, Zac, and his wife Kate just welcomed their first child, John Ira Shepherd Hanson in May. And middle brother Taylor has three children, for a total of six kids among the bandmates.
After undergoing rib resection surgery in December following a pulmonary embolism, Isaac has had a clean bill of health since January.
He'll hit the road on Hanson's 8-week tour for their album, The Walk, of the U.S. and South America this fall.

It was announced this afternoon that Zac Hanson, drummer for the rock trio Hanson, is celebrating the delivery of his first child, son John Ira Shepherd Hanson, by wife Kate on Tuesday.
Zac Hanson, the youngest brother from Tulsa's very own Grammy-nominated Hanson trio just finished touring earlier this month in time to celebrate in the birth. Baby Shepherd weighed in at a healthy 8lb 4oz at an undisclosed hospital in the brothers’ hometown of Tulsa, OK.
“I am so overjoyed to meet Shepherd," said Zac Hanson in a press statement. "There is not an audience or concert that could ever stand up to the feeling of meeting your baby for the first time.”
Wife Kate said, “Shepherd is the most wonderful gift we could ever receive and we're already enjoying every second of this great adventure.”
Hanson will continue their short break while brother Isaac Hanson gets ready for the arrival of his and wife Nicole’s second child later this month.
The band will are scheduled to make a trip to South Africa with the “Feed The Children” organization in late August and then hit the road for an 8-week run across Canada and the U.S. in support of their critically acclaimed CD The Walk.
